Arlton graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Information Technology. He has worked in web design and web development for over 6 years. He has excellent web, print, and graphic design skills.

Arlton has been involved in many community activities. As the Founder of Conway Cowork and Co-Founder of Refresh Conway, he has organized events and promoted educational opportunities throughout Central Arkansas. He also spearheaded the BarCamp Conway technology conference, which drew over 120 attendees.
